Our story
Hola. We are Dorien and Wim. Under the slogan "Don't dream your life but live your dream" we decided in 2009 to say goodbye to our life in Belgium and pursue our southern dream.
Soon we lost our hearts to the beautiful Andalusian nature and its cultural treasures. This would be our place!
Our search for the ideal location to settle down brought us to an old finca near the Spanish villages of Riogordo and Comares in the province of Málaga. The typical Andalusian character of the house, the beautiful views and the fantastic location among a patchwork of olive groves convinced us immediately: this was going to be the place we wanted to be and where we still live today.
It was here that we proudly opened the doors of our own b&b. For almost 13 years we have pampered our guests here as much as possible and let them enjoy all the beauty this region has to offer.
The years passed and the b&b ran at full speed. Unfortunately, there was often not enough room to welcome everyone.... And since expanding here with us was not an option, we decided to go for a first vacation home. During the quieter winter months, we also did some serious renovations to transform the house into a beautiful vacation home. We had a taste for it and it didn't stop with that one extra house.... One became two, two became three,....
In July 2022, we felt that for us too, the time had come for some more freedom and time to enjoy ourselves. After much deliberation we closed the doors of our b&b and decided to focus solely on our vacation homes. We still do the changeovers here ourselves to make sure they are always in perfect order for our clients.
Our vacation homes
All our vacation homes are located in the Axarquía, a beautiful hilly area with farmlands, almond trees and olive trees against a backdrop of mountains and forests of pines, oaks and brushwood. The green and copper-colored fields are punctuated by the many whitewashed farmhouses scattered here and there.
La Perla Escondida and Casa Almendras are located in the countryside and invite you to spend your vacations in peace and privacy. The beautiful views ensure that you can completely relax here. Here it is blissful to enjoy being with friends or family, lazing by the pool or coming home in peace after a nice day trip in the neighborhood.
Close to the sea is Casa Valle Niza. Long walks on the beach, getting a breath of fresh air with a sea breeze or enjoying the beach in a quiet environment are the focus here. And in the evening, do not forget to enjoy the day on the spacious roof terrace with beautiful sea view!
Málaga
And Málaga... what do we love this city! The port, shopping, the city park, the sea, culture and history and dozens of museums. You can find it all here! Sunny Cervantes is located in the historic heart of this vibrant city, within walking distance of all the sights. From here you can easily explore at walking pace and let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of the Malagueños.
